Get A Free T-shirt With A MacTech(r) CD-ROM Demonstration at
Macworld San Francisco, January 6 – January 9, 1998.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA — January 5, 1998 — Xplain Corporation, the
publisher of MacTech Magazine, today announced that it will be giving away
a free T-shirt with a demonstration of the MacTech CD-ROM (while supplies
last).

As one of the first CD-ROM publishers, MacTech Magazine has continually
updated its historical CD with an extensive library of reference material,
hundreds of megabytes of source code, special offers with developer demos,
and much more.

The MacTech CD, includes every article from MacTech magazine from 1984
through 1997. It has the entire history of develop. The CD also has the
original Inside Macintosh, and the most complete set of FrameWorks archives
known (the publication of the late Software FrameWorks Association).

Starting with the May, 1997 issue, MacTech magazine delivers a special
section of develop written by Apple engineers and reviewed by Apple
technical support that enables develop’s high-quality technical articles
and code to reach more developers than ever before. The first develop
section is also included on the CD.

MacTech’s flexible THINK Reference Viewer (2.5b2) gives the user faster and
more searching capability. THINK Reference is one of the most beloved
developer tools ever available for Macintosh. The new THINK Reference
Viewer, version 2.5, includes boolean searches and other features in one of
the fastest search engines around. The new search capabilities are a
valuable addition to the CD by making it easier to find the references you
need. All of the articles are in THINK Reference format.

And if you view a demonstration of the CD at Macworld you will receive a
free “Code different” T-shirt compliments of MacTech Magazine. So come by
the MacTech station located in the Developer Central Pavilion in the
Northeast corner of the North Hall/Mosone Center.

The CD has a list price of $129. MacTech is offering a special Macworld
show price of only $99 through January 31, 1998 — so act now!
