The company’s doors will close on February 29, 2004. Willow introduces new PowerBook/iBook sleeves

Willow Design has introduced five new sleeves to “minimize the size needed to protect and sheath Apple’s PowerBooks and iBooks.” The sleeves measure just over half an inch larger than each notebook and feature a quarter inch soft foam reinforced by outer high density plastic outer panels. There is also an extra layer of foam sandwiched around the perimeter where the notebook is most likely to get bumped. Pricing starts at US$41.

Willow offers portable MacLab cases for schools

Willow Design has announced a series of cases to fit multiple 15-inch PowerBooks, 14-inch iBooks, and the original “clamshell” iBooks to make setting up portable Mac curriculum labs in schools easier. The cases will fit five to seven of the Mac laptops, an AirPort Base Station, as well as all the power supplies, cords and accessories needed to set up a portable Mac lab — all in separated in protective compartments. Pricing starts at US$199.

Willow offers 17″ PowerBook backpacks

Willow Design has released two new backpacks specifically designed for the 17″ PowerBook. The Edgewater (US$162) is aimed at those from 5′ 3″ to 5′ 7″, while the Garibaldi ($165) fits taller individuals, or those who want to carry more extras. The new packs offer two main laptop and paperwork compartments with a host of organizer pockets.

Willow announces new slipcases for PowerBook, iBook

Willow Design has announced a new line of slipcases for the 15.2″ PowerBook G4, 12″ iBook and 14″ iBook. The new slipcases are based on the excellent protection of the company’s previous Mac slipcase lines, but add more space for accessories. Willow said that slipcases for the new 12″ and 17″ PowerBooks are in production and should be available within the next couple of weeks.

Willow offers portable iBook Mac lab carry case

Willow Design has announced a new portable iBook curriculum lab carrying case. The case, which was designed for the Surrey, British Columbia school board, is configured to carry up to six 12″ iBooks in individually protected compartments, an airport, and all the power supplies, cords and accessories needed to set up a mobile iBook lab. The Mac Lab cases will not be available until the first week of January, but Willow is offering an introductory price of US$170 ($185 regular price). Read More

Willow Design offers year-end sale, MacMinute discount

The folks at Willow Design have announced a special year-end sale on cases for Apple products. All Apple cases are on sale and Willow will pay half of the regular sized cases’ shipping costs of ground shipping for American and Canadian orders placed before December 12th. International orders will also receive a reduction in their shipping rates. In addition, the company is offering MacMinute readers an additional 5% discount for orders placed before December 6th.
