SubEthaEdit 2.1 from TheCodingMonkeys is the latest version of the Rendezvous-based collaborative text editor for Mac OS X. This release adds: a UNIX command line tool that combines the power of SubEthaEdit and Terminal; customizable syntax colors; the ability to export to HTML Web pages; improved printing; and more. SubEthaEdit 2.1, which sells for US$35, also adds French and Korean to its list of localizations.

Version 2.0 brings regular expression search and replace; “Invitations,” a new collaboration feature; read only access for shared documents; iChat and Mail integration; 300 percent more efficient network protocol; easier and more powerful syntax definitions and modes; and more.

SubEthaEdit 1.1.4 (formerly Hydra) is the latest version of the Rendezvous-based collaborative text editor for Mac OS X. This update brings support for Mac OS X 10.3 “Panther” and offers improved Objective-C syntax highlighting. SubEthaEdit is freeware.
