Quark today announced the availability of the QuarkXPress 7.31 updater, a maintenance release of the company’s professional design software. In developing its latest release, Quark worked closely with Apple to ensure that QuarkXPress 7.31 is tested and optimized to run on Mac OS X Leopard.

Quark has posted QuarkXPress 7.1, the latest update to the company’s page layout and design software. Changes in version 7.1 include: specific performance enhancements; fixes related to scrolling and text selection; cosmetic changes related to control placement; and the resolution of several recently discovered issues (see resolved issues documentation). QuarkXPress 7.x requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Quark Inc. today announced the release of QuarkXPress 7.02, the latest update to QuarkXPress 7, which includes the “highest level of flexibility and reliability” for QuarkXPress software users. The release provides new, up-to-date functionality, including license-transfer features and typographic support for new languages as well as resolution of the most important issues reported by customers since the product shipped.

Quark today announced the availability of QuarkXPress 7 as a Universal application for Mac OS X 10.4. The QuarkXPress 7.01 update, which is available free of charge for Mac users of QuarkXPress 7.0, was built to run at peak performance on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs. QuarkXPress is the first major design and publishing tool to be released as a Universal application, and its new graphics engine, XDraw, leverages the power of Quartz 2D to achieve the highest-quality rendering of text and graphics, notes the company.
