Macromedia, Roxio report earnings
Macromedia today posted a third quarter profit of US$10.8 million or 18 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $42.9 million, or 74 cents per share for the same quarter a year ago. The profit was attributed to strong sales from its Studio MX software suite. Wall Street had expected the company to earn 7 cents a share, according to analysts polled by research firm Thomson First Call.
