LAFCPUG top ten FCP feature request ballot now online

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (LAFCPUG) is asking all FCP users to vote for their top ten favorite FCP feature requests. The online ballot is now available on the LAFCPUG Web site and consists of over 60 feature requests gathered from various FCP online forums and FCP User Groups. The idea is to trim the list down to a top ten. The last time the user group did this Apple included over two thirds of the requests in a future version of Final Cut Pro. Voting will be open until August 22, 2004.

MUG News: Happy Birthday LAFCPUG!

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (LAFCPUG) will celebrate its fourth birthday on Wednesday, June 23 beginning at 6:45 p.m. PT at the LA Film School in Hollywood. Scheduled to appear are author Diana Weynand, who will show some tricks on how to multi-task while playing a sequence in the FCP Timeline; Marco Paolini, demonstrating the latest FCP plug-ins from Digital FilmTools; composer Ashley Witt, who will show off Apple’s Logic Pro 6; and Apple/eMagic’s Byron Gaither, demonstrating Garage Band.

MUG News: LAFCPUG to make music September 24

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (LAFCPUG) plan on making music at their next meeting, Wednesday, September 24 at the LA Film School in Hollywood, CA. On the agenda will be demos of Apple’s Soundtrack, SmartSound’s SonicFire Pro 3.1, and Apple’s Logic Platinum 6. In addition, there will be more on Final Cut Pro 4, filmmaker Show and Tells, Stump the Gurus and a raffle. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. PT and a US$5 donation is required for entrance. Read More

LA Final Cut Pro user group to get sneak peek of FCP 4

The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will host an in depth look at Final Cut Pro 4 (set to ship in June) on Wednesday, April 23 at the Digital Cinema Lab, located at 6433 Hollywood Blvd. The doors are scheduled to open at 5:00PM and the event will start at 6:45PM. Final Cut Pro product designer Brian Meaney and FCP product manager Paul Saccone will be down from Cupertino to take questions and gather feedback.
