Intego today announced that all of its software is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, the forthcoming version of Apple’s operating system. Leopard will be released on October 26, and Intego has been ready since it released updates to its programs in September. “We’re very excited to see Leopard in action, and Mac users everywhere will be too,” said Laurent Marteau, CEO, Intego.

Intego today released two security packs from its new Dual Protection (DP) line to help Mac users protect both Mac OS X and their Windows installation. Intego’s Dual Protection product line features the company’s award-winning software together with BitDefender’s top-rated programs to provide Mac users with protection for both operating systems.

Intego today announced the release of Internet Security Barrier X Antispam Edition (US$$99.95 and includes Personal Antispam X3, NetBarrier X3, and VirusBarrier X) and Platinum Edition ($149 and includes Personal Antispam X3, NetBarrier X3, VirusBarrier X, Personal Backup X3, ContentBarrier X, and ChatBarrier X3), which enable home and business users to protect their Macs and ensure maximum productivity. Intego today announced the release of Personal Antispam X3, a new program that works in conjunction with Apple Mail or Microsoft Entourage to help filter spam e-mails. Intego Personal Antispam X3 (US$59.95) can learn from the spam users receive, and regular monthly updates to the program help keep their inbox as spam-free as possible. Intego today announced ChatBarrier X3, new software that works in conjunction with Apple’s iChat to provide two-way, real-time encryption of text chats. iChat instant messages are sent in clear text, and go through the AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) server. Hackers can intercept these messages at any stage of this process using ‘packet sniffers’ to intercept network data and reconstruct the sent text, according to Intego.
