iCal update improves Jaguar iSync support

Apple today released iCal 1.5.5, an update to its popular calendar application. Version 1.5.5 includes improvements in iSync synchronization on Macs running Mac OS X v10.2 (Jaguar). The update is available via the Mac OS X Software Update preference pane. Last month, Apple released iCal 1.5.4, which includes security enhancements to help protect your Mac when importing events with alarms that open files or applications.

Apple updates iCal to v1.5.2

Apple has released iCal 1.5.2, the latest version of its popular calendar application. According to Apple, iCal 1.5.2 is “easier and faster to use with its detachable Info Drawer, To Do alarms and notes, more keyboard shortcuts, ability to publish or subscribe to calendars on servers located behind a firewall, improved alarms, support for events in multiple time zones, as well as other stability and performance improvements.”

Apple releases iCal 1.0.2

Hot on the heels of their 1.0.1 release, Apple has posted iCal 1.0.2, the latest version of the popular calendar application. No new improvements were given in the software’s release notes. However, the update appears to fix a problem that Apple identified with iCal 1.0.1, which was detailed in a post on the company’s Web site. “Apple is tracking an issue that may cause users living in time zones 10 hours or more from Greenwich Mean Time to have their calendar data displayed incorrectly.

Apple iCal now available

Apple has announced that iCal, its calendar software for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), is now available. “Never before has it been so easy to manage all the calendars in your life,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO in the press release. “iCal features a breakthrough way to share calendars over the Internet—with colleagues, friends, family, customers, suppliers, students and parents.” iCal is available immediately as a free download and requires Mac OS X 10.2.
