FirewireDirect today announced the Spark 800, the latest addition to the company’s line of FireWire 800 storage products. The Spark 800 is a FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 equipped portable 2.5-inch hard drive, available in configurations up to 80GB. FirewireDirect has announced that it is now shipping the StingRay 800 line of external 3.5-inch hard drives. The new drives feature both FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces, and are available in the following capacities: 80GB (US$235), 120GB ($255), 160GB ($315), 200GB ($365), 250GB ($475), and 320GB ($540). FirewireDirect tomorrow will introduce the MachIV line of 2.5-inch FireWire and USB 2.0 hard drives. The portable drives are available in capacities from 20 to 80GB and offer a “small and sleek titanium-style” enclosure.
