EZQuest today announced its new 16x Boa DVD+/- FireWire drive that is compatible with all popular CD and DVD media types, including 8.5GB dual-layer DVD. The Boa 16x DVD+/- drive offers 16x for DVD+/- R; 4x for DVD+R dual-layer and DVD+/- RW; 32x for CD-R; and 24x for CD-RW.

EZQuest will introduce two dual-format DVD-/DVD+ external FireWire drives at Macworld Expo this week. The super-small drive measures 6 x 5.5 x .75 inches, features both FireWire and USB 2.0 ports, and operates at 2x DVD-R, 1x DVD-RW, 8x DVD-Rom, 16x CD-R, 8x CD-RW and 24x CD-Rom speeds. The Boa Slim DVD-RW drive comes ready to use with cable and authoring software, and is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 and Mac OS X. It is priced at US$359.

EZQuest has announced that it is shipping its new Boa FireWire and USB 2.0 4x DVD+RW/-RW external drives, which are compatible with DVD+, DVD- and all CD media. The FireWire version is compatible with Mac OS 9.1 and 10.1.2 or later and both versions include Retrospect Express software for scheduling automatic backups.
