Epson releases new inkjet and all-in-one

Epson has introduced the US$99 Stylus Photo R200, an inkjet, and the $349 Stylus Photo RX600, a photographic all-in-one device. The former, designed for home printing, sports: six individual ink cartridges; direct CD/DVD printing; USB 1.1 connectivity; resolutions up to 5760 x 1440 optimized dots per inch; text speeds up to 15 pages per minute; and photo speeds as fast as 37 seconds for a 4×6 inch photo and 78 seconds for an 8×10 inch photo.

Epson intros digital photo viewing/storage device

Epson today announced the P-1000, a new device for viewing, storing and sharing digital photos. It incorporates a high quality 3.8-inch LCD screen (262,144 colors), a 10GB hard drive, and can print directly to select Epson printers. The device offers native support for CompactFlash (Type I and II) and IBM Microdrive, and can support Memory Stick, Smart Media, Secure Digital and Multi Media Card with an optional third-party adapter.

Epson today announced the availability of a Print Image Matching II plug-in (P.I.M. II) for Adobe Photoshop 7.0, 6.0, and Photoshop Elements 1.0 and 2.0. The new plug-in enables “Photoshop users who own a P.I.M. II-enabled digital camera and P.I.M. Epson introduces new all-in-one devices

Epson today announced the Stylus CX3200 and CX5200, the company’s latest all-in-one devices that serve as an all-purpose printer, scanner and color copier. The CX3200 (US$149) offers resolution of up to 5760×720 dots per inch (dpi), print speeds of up to 14 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 10 ppm in color, features a 600×1200 dpi optical resolution for scanning, and produces color copies or black text copies as fast as 10 ppm.

Epson introduces Sylus Pro 10600

Epson today announced the Stylus Pro 10600, its latest wide format printer targeted at advanced graphics professionals. The Stylus Pro 10600 uses the same high-speed print engine as the Stylus Pro 10000, allowing it to print images up to 231 square feet per hour using the printer’s fastest settings and approximately 72 square feet per hour when printing photographic output.
