Contour releases new macro capability for ShuttlePRO V.2

Contour Design today announced the release of Key Composer, new keystroke macro creation and management functionality for its ShuttlePRO V.2 multimedia jog/shuttle controller. With Key Composer, Mac audio/video application users can now assign multiple keystroke combinations, or macros, to execute from a single button on the ShuttlePRO V.2. Key Composer is built into Version 2.5 of the Macintosh driver for the ShuttlePRO V.2, available as a free download from the Contour Design Web site.

Contour Design debuts ‘Showcase’ for 3G iPods

Coutour Design has taken the wraps off the Showcase, a new protective case for Apple’s 3G (third generation) iPods. “Through the skillful application of advanced dual-injection molding technology, Contour Design has created a case with a clean, trim, seamless look that highlights the pure beauty of your iPod,” says the company. The case integrates shock-absorbing rubber and a hard, clear plastic shell that allows the buttons to be fully functional. The Showcase will be available starting October 20, 2003 for US$39.95.

Contour debuts ShuttlePRO v.2 jog/shuttle controller

Contour Design today announced the ShuttlePRO v.2, an enhanced version of the company’s award-winning USB jog/shuttle controller. The ShuttlePRO v.2 will be shown at this week’s Macworld CreativePro Expo (booth #655) in New York and at the Summer NAMM Show (booth #341) in Nashville, TN. The new device sports a new alloy jog wheel, 15 programmable buttons, and a “sleek” new black color. The ShuttlePRO v.2 will be available in August for US$129.95. Read More

Contour to introduce ShuttleXpress media controller

Contour Design will announce the ShuttleXpress, a new five-button jog and shuttle media controller based on its award-winning ShuttlePRO, at the NAB show in Las Vegas this week. The ShuttleXpress is designed for “ergonomic integrity and maximizing productivity,” allowing one-hand access to the five programmable buttons and a jog/shuttle knob. The inner ring or “jog” rotates through 360 degrees and provides frame-by-frame control. The outer black ring or “shuttle” is rubberized and spring-loaded.
