ATI intros Radeon X800 XT Mac graphics card

ATI Technologies today introduced the Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition, a single slot graphics card for Apple’s Power Mac G5. The Radeon X800 XT doubles the performance of the previous generation (the Radeon 9800), according to the company. Equipped with dual digital display connections, (one Dual Link DVI and one ADC port), the Radeon X800 XT supports the Apple 30-inch Cinema HD Display as well as legacy Apple Digital Displays.

ATI credits notebook, phone sales for strong results

ATI Technologies today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of its 2003 fiscal year, which ended August 31, 2003. Revenues for the quarter were US$380.7 million compared to $355.7 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2003. The net income for the quarter was $22.3 million or $0.09 per share compared to net income of $15.0 million or $0.06 per share for the third quarter of 2003, and a net loss of $34.6 million or $0.15 per share for the same period a year ago.

ATI announces Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics chip

ATI Technologies today unveiled the Mobility Radeon 9600 family of mobile visual processors today at a worldwide launch event at CeBIT in Germany. “The Mobility Radeon 9600 family is so far ahead of the curve that for the first time, we see mobile graphics processors that deliver cinematic imagery, performance and features superior to the competitor’s highest-end desktop products,” said Phil Eisler, Vice President and General Manager, Mobile and Integrated Business Unit, ATI Technologies.

ATI reaches settlement with shareholders

ATI Technologies today announced that it has reached a settlement of all remaining claims alleged in the shareholder class action lawsuits filed in May 2001 in Pennsylvania. The litigation relates to “alleged misrepresentations and omissions made by the company and certain directors and officers during a period preceding its May 2000 earnings warning.” Further details of the settlement are available in the press release.
