AppleScript Pro Sessions set for February

Registrations are now open for AppleScript Pro Sessions in St. Pete Beach, FL for February 4-8, 2008. After 10 successful events, the sessions will be coming to Florida for the first time, with a conference hotel directly on the Gulf Coast in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. In addition to covering automation of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat in CS3 and earlier versions, the 2008 sessions will also focus on any changes in the latest Mac OS. In addition, the sessions cover Microsoft Excel for the fist time.

AppleScript Pro Sessions to cover Adobe Creative Suite 3

Organizers of the AppleScript Pro Sessions announced today they will include coverage of several products in Adobe’s recently announced Creative Suite version 3 in Denver, CO, June 18-22. The sessions will devote nearly two full days to coverage of InDesign, with a further day focusing on Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Other sessions cover FileMaker Pro, BBEdit, and the latest version of Mac OS X, as well as an introductory/refresher day.

AppleScript Pro Sessions registration now open

Registrations are now open for AppleScript Pro Sessions June 11-15 in Denver, Colorado. Organizers have announced that for the first time they will be dropping coverage of QuarkXPress, devoting more time to InDesign. “Dropping QuarkXPress is mainly an economic decision. Interest in automating it with AppleScript has dropped dramatically over the past three years,” said Ray Robertson, co-leader.

AppleScript Pro Sessions have announced three special guest speakers for the May 8-12 event in Secaucus, New Jersey. Late Night Software developer Mark Alldritt will be joining the group remotely for a demonstration of new features in Script Debugger 4; Gary Cosimini of Adobe Systems will be doing a presentation on InDesign Server (a fully scriptable product); and AppleScript author Matt Neuburg will be returning to cover Automator, and creation applications and Automator actions in AppleScript Studio.

AppleScript Pro Sessions announced for New York City

AppleScript Pro Sessions have been announced for May 8-12, 2006 in Secaucus, New Jersey — six miles from Manhattan. This will be the ninth automation training event, but the first in the New York City area. The sessions offer an introduction to AppleScript, in-depth coverage of scripting applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress and FileMaker, as well as coverage of how to use Automator and create custom Actions in AppleScript Studio. Early bird pricing is available through March 31st and starts at US$1300.

AppleScript Pro Sessions announces special guests

The organizers of AppleScript Pro Sessions have announced two special guest presenters for AppleScript Pro, and extended the early bird registration deadline to March 22. Matt Neuburg, author of “AppleScript: The Definitive Guide” from O’Reilly and TidBITS Contributing Editor since 1991, will again be leading a session on AppleScript Studio. In addition, InDesign guru, desktop publishing pioneer and author Olav Martin Kvern of Adobe Systems will be back again, this time presenting a session on scripting XML in InDesign.
