Apple today posted AirPort 4.0.1 for both Mac and Windows. The update is recommended for all customers with AirPort Express base stations. According to the release notes, the Mac version also includes improvements to Profiles support in the AirPort Admin Utility, and improved handling of WEP keys with third-party access points. The Windows version of the AirPort 4.0.1 update resolves potential issues with certain wireless cards.

Apple today released AirPort Software 3.4.1 via the Software Update preference pane. According to the release notes, the update provides improved AirPort wireless networking software, and is recommended for all users with an AirPort Extreme and AirPort enabled Mac or an AirPort Extreme base station. Version 3.4.1 also offers improved antenna output control; enhanced logging from your base station which is compatible with syslog; and performance improvements for WPA security implementations.
