Apple goes all CD-ROM on Classic iMacs; drops $999 model
Following Apple’s move earlier Wednesday in adding an eMac with a DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive, the company has dropped its US$999, CD-RW equipped Classic iMac and added two models with additional RAM as the only difference. The Classic iMac line still includes the low-end $799 model with 600MHz PowerPC G3, 128MB SDRAM, 40GB Ultra ATA drive, and CD-ROM Drive.
