Intel powers laptops ahead to 1.13GHz

While Mac laptops rest at 500MHz, Intel today unveiled a new Pentium III-M mobile processor with speeds up to 1.13GHz. The chips consume 40 percent less power and run 20 percent faster than previous generation mobile Pentium III chips, according to Intel. The processors are also the first of any to use .13-micro technology, as opposed to the .18-micron procedure used in Pentium 4 and G4 chips.
