WEB CROSSING, INC. SHIPS TEAM CROSSING 3.0

— Integrated Tool Suite for Virtual Teams Now With New Easy Customization
and Plug-ins Architecture —

SAN FRANCISCO, February 17, 2004 – Web Crossing, Inc. today shipped Team
Crossing version 3.0, now more flexible than ever. Team Crossing 3.0 makes
full use of the latest Web Crossing customization themes and plugins for
easy extensibility without programming. Team Crossing upgrades are free for
current registered users of Team Crossing (see pricing section below).
Available immediately as a software license or server hosted solution, Team
Crossing 3.0 is priced on a per-seat or traffic-based sliding scale model
from (http://www.webcrossing.com/tc3).

“Team Crossing 3.0 facilitates effective workgroup collaboration, whether
used in one physical office or offices spanning the globe,” explained Tim
Lundeen, president and CEO of Web Crossing, Inc. “Based on our new Web
Crossing 5.0 platform, Team Crossing 3.0 is now much more flexible. The
ability to add functionality in just a few clicks allows teams to use
whatever tools help them get the job done.”

“The new plug-ins are going to be popular overall,” said Michelle Jodoin,
Lead eConsultations Technology of Canadian Heritage, Government of Canada,
and Team Crossing beta tester. “However, the biggest improvement is the
ability to significantly ‘brand’ the various communities. Now it’s easier
to tie-in the color scheme and logos with their own web site. Given our 15
different communities, this kind of customization makes quite a difference.”

New Plug-in Architecture and WebFiles
New installations of Team Crossing 3.0 can now support multiple Team
Crossing areas on the same site. Beyond basic access control, each area can
be completely sequestered from the others allowing independent
administration, customization, functionality extension and file privacy.
Multiple areas offer a level of security while separating divisions or
completely different domains.

Extending the functionality of Team Crossing 3.0 now leverages an advanced
plug-in architecture. Installing and uninstalling plug-ins takes only a
point-and-click from within the admin control panel, requiring no
programming or scripting. Plug-ins are available for a extensive array of
functionality, such as Weblogs, RSS feeds, WebMail, personal and shared
calendars, polling, brainstorming, wiki web, Neurons and more.

Team Crossing 3.0 also includes the new WebFiles mirroring system — a
breakthrough paradigm for conveniently managing server files by mirroring
the file system directly from a Web browser. When used with Team Crossing’s
new built-in Web publishing feature, users can create and edit entire home
page directories via most modern browsers. All files that are added or
modified via WebFiles or FTP are automatically synchronized in real-time
with the host file system.

Easy Customization in Whole or in Part
Team Crossing 3.0 is now themes compatible for easy customization. Team
Crossing administrators can customize all or part of a site with new themes
and layouts using the “one-click customization” manager. Previously
requiring customized templates, aesthetic control can now be achieved with
a simple point-and-click. A site’s look can be easily customized across the
entire site or within an individual section, such as a single discussion
area or distinct HTML directory.
