New CDN Offering Free Service to Accelerate
Web Sites Getting Fast Market Acceptance

ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN Nearly 200 Web sites worldwide have signed up
for the web acceleration service offered by SolidSpeed Networks, Inc.
since launch 15 days ago.

That quick start is a good omen because SolidSpeed has projected
servicing at least 1,000 web sites by year’s end, says Dean Massab,
Vice President of Marketing and Sales for SolidSpeed Networks.

“We’ve gotten a very positive reaction from web sites trying our
service,” says Massab. “Many web owners have seen accelerations of
200 to 1000 percent. For example, www.florida.com has seen their peak
page load time go from 13 seconds to 1.5 seconds.”

SolidSpeed Networks, Inc. speeds up the viewing of web content using
intelligent routing and network optimization allowing pages to bypass
web congestion and outages, increasing customer retention rates and
site effectiveness.

One of the first to subscribe to the service was
www.littleprofessor.com with bookstores in 17 states. According to
Massab their site has been accelerated by over 200%. There are also
many Web operators from European nations such as Belgium, Ireland and
the United Kingdom who find using SolidSpeed’s service far better
than having American customers held hostage by the limited bandwidth
and server capacity in Europe.

The solution was developed by Jon Zeeff, a highly respected Internet
infrastructure expert who is Chief Technology Officer of SolidSpeed.
Zeeff introduced the first shopping mall on the Internet and founded
an Internet Service Provider business (Branch Internet) very early in
1993.

According to Massab, “SolidSpeed focuses on the needs of small to
medium-sized web owners who do not want to pay the prices of Akamai,
Digital Island, and other Fortune 500 focused Content Delivery
Network firms. Our target customers value our service because it’s
simple to implement, easy to use, affordable, and has an immediate
measurable benefit.”

Says Massab, “It’s no surprise that SolidSpeed is receiving such a
positive response from the marketplace; after all, the most common
complaint about the Internet is that web pages take too long to load,
and SolidSpeed solves that problem.” For more information visit:
