INTERMEDIATE SCRIPTING WITH JOHN MARK OSBORNE
John Mark is co-author of the wildly popular book and CD-ROM,
Scriptology – FileMaker Pro Demystified. This course covers
intermediate scripting and calculations with an emphasis on
scripting. Based on the knowledge gained from this course, you will
gain the confidence to create scripts specific to your own needs.
While it is designed for the intermediate user, it doesn’t require
any knowledge of FileMaker Pro scripting or calculations.

Prerequisites include a good working knowledge of the FileMaker Pro
menu items as well as FileMaker Pro relationships including portals.
However, even the most seasoned FileMaker Pro user will gain valuable
knowledge from the course, since it’s designed to teach the thought
process of creating a script rather than just demonstrating examples.
For instance, the class will build a complete Find script starting
from two lines and build on it until it is 50 script lines. Not only
will specific script commands such as Set Error Capture, If, and
Perform Script be covered, but concepts such as modular scripting,
testing, and prototyping will be discussed. And, at every turn,
students will be encouraged to discuss the advantages, disadvantages,
cross-platform and multi-user considerations of each exercise.

Class Fee – $695.00 per person.
