Neon Software Announces CyberGauge for Windows 95/98/NT Powerful,
Stand-Alone, Internet Bandwidth Measurement Utility

LAFAYETTE, CA – January 19, 1999 — Neon Software announced today a
Windows version of their powerful Internet bandwidth measurement
utility CyberGauge. CyberGauge, with graphical output capabilities,
uses SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) to monitor and analyze
the throughput of virtually every Internet router available on the
market. Additionally, CyberGauge is used to determine bandwidth
utilization on many network-connected devices, such as switches and
hubs. CyberGauge couples high-end functionality with affordability
for superior Internet bandwidth measurement in the Windows/Windows NT
arena.

“The crucial decision of balancing bandwidth needs and budget
requires a thorough knowledge of current bandwidth utilization,” said
Michael Swan, Chief Technical Officer, Neon Software. “CyberGauge
provides the answers to critical questions facing businesses and
schools today. Is my network connection ‘maxed out’? Are users being
turned away from my web site during peak periods? Have my connections
slowed down due to increased Internet traffic?”

The clear “EKG-like” graphical output of CyberGauge makes it a
favorite with users and Beta testers who present usage bandwidth data
in reports and presentations.

“The tech support team was pretty sure we needed to upgrade to at
least a T1 to the provider, but we could not get any support from the
Administration,” said John Pellick, Manitoba School System Service
Manager. “The main shocker to the Administration was the amount of
total amount of usage to the schools. Presented in the CyberGauge
graph form, we were able to present a visual presentation of
bandwidth input and output that was easy for our Administration to
understand.”

CyberGauge Key Features Include:

* Displays Internet bandwidth information in real-time on a trend graph;

* Automatically saves bandwidth information for review;
* Retrieve device and interface information;
* Exports and prints data bandwidth information;
* Automatically creates of JPEG graphs for easy inclusion of bandwidth
data on Web pages;
* Monitors multiple interfaces on multiple devices;
* Interface bonding to view multiple data channels as a single virtual
network interface.
