Dear Dylan Programmer –

I’m happy to announce that version 1.1 of Harlequin Dylan Personal Edition
is now available for download from the Harlequin Web site at
(http://www.harlequin.com/devtools/dylan). As with all our Personal Edition
products, there is no charge for this software.

The version 1.1 release includes a large number of bug fixes and several
key additions, including support for limited vectors, FFI speed
improvements, and OpenGL and multimedia libraries.

Version 1.1 of the Professional Edition will go on sale early next week. In
addition to the improvements cited for the Personal Edition, version 1.1 of
the Professional Edition adds support for sockets as well as improvements
to our COM support.

With the release of version 1.1, the price of the Professional Edition will
increase to $299. So, this weekend is your last chance to get Harlequin
Dylan Professional at the introductory price of $249. Complete instructions
for Web and telephone purchase are available at
(http://www.harlequin.com/devtools/dylan).

Users of version 1.0 Professional will receive version 1.1 at no charge.

The Dylan team is very excited about our second release, and equally
excited at the prospect of adding CORBA support with the Enterprise
Edition, which we expect to release within the next couple of months.
Working with Dylan is always an adventure. We thank you for your support,
and look forward to an exciting futur of shared work with the Dylan
language.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Shalit
