To use the swipe-to-refresh gesture in macOS 27, swipe down with two fingers on your trackpad while at the top of a supported app.
How to Perform the Gesture
- Open a Supported App: Launch an app that supports the gesture, such as Safari, Mail, News, Podcasts, or Calendar.
- Navigate to the Top: Scroll or move to the very top of the webpage, feed, or message list.
- Swipe Down:
- If you use natural scrolling, swipe two fingers downwards on your trackpad.
- If you do not use natural scrolling, swipe two fingers upwards.
- Wait for the Reload: A loading icon or visual indicator will appear on screen as the app fetches and displays the latest content.
