Russian cybersecurity firm Positive Technologies claims it’s discovered 11 security flaws affecting Apple and Android devices, reports TechRadar.
The company, which you should note is currently under American sanctions, gave the findings to Russian news agency TASS. Nine of the flaws affected Apple devices and software, while two affected Android, including Pixel phones, and were reportedly rated high severity.
This isn’t Apple’s first brush-up with Russian agencies. Russian courts have fined Apple millions of roubles for violating laws regarding the promotion of “non-traditional sexual relations,” developments widely circulated via TASS. Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has penalized Apple over dominant market positioning and app store payment rules. And the country’s courts have fined Apple for failing to delete apps and podcasts containing “inaccurate” or restricted information regarding the conflict in Ukraine, as reported by TASS.
