Apple Original Film has landed the rights to “The Waffle House Index” script, reports Deadline.
The article says plot details are under wraps, but the Black List logline noted that the “Waffle House Index” is a metric use by FEMA to measure the severity of a natural disaster, and Jane works the graveyard shift at her local Waffle House with a storm coming.
Inde Navarrette will start as Jane. She’s best known for her breakrole in the hit, “Obsession.”
Apple Studios will serve as the studio and Plan B will produce. In addition to starring, Navarrette will serve as executive producer.
