Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 and more macOS updates.

According to Apple’s security support document, ‌macOS Tahoe‌ 26.6.1 fixes a vulnerability that could allow an attacker to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials. Apple fixed the issue with improved state management.

Apple also released updates for macOS Sonoma 14.8.9 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.9 with the same fix. To install the upgrades: 

  1. On your Mac, click the Apple Menu
  2. Click System Settings
  3. Click Software Update
  4. If available, click Update Now or schedule an update with Update Tonight
