Halle Perry will star in ‘The President is Missing’ for Apple TV, reports Deadline.
Based on Bill Clinton and James Patterson’s best-selling political thriller novel, Perry will start President Duncan, a gender swap from the book. Holly Jeter’s HalleHolly and RK Films are producing.
“The President Is Missing” is a 2018 political thriller novel co-authored by former U.S. President Bill Clinton and bestselling author James Patterson, featuring U.S. President Jonathan Lincoln Duncan, who disappears during a major cyberterrorist threat to the nation, forcing him (well, her, in the Berry version) to go on the run with a Secret Service agent to uncover a traitor and stop the attack.
