Apple Ginza store in Tokyo moves to 12-story building made of fire-resistant wood and steel

The Apple retail store in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district will move this month to Japan’s first 12-story building made of a fire-resistant wold and steel construction, reports Nikkei Asia.

The relocated retail store open on Aug. 30. It will be the anchor tent of the high-rise, which is designed by Huluc, one of Japan’s biggest real estate groups.

Apple Ginza initially opened in 2018 in the country where Apple opened its first retail store. The tech giant has 11 stores in Japan with four of those in Tokyo.
