CLCKR Wallet, 3M Car Mount will be handy for some iPhone users

CLCKR recently released three new smartphone accessories: the Prong Car Mount, 3M Car Mount and the CLCKR Wallet. I’ve been testing out the last two and found them handy accessories for some iPhone owners.

The US$24.99 CLCKR Wallet with the built-in Stand & Grip offers a convenient way to carry cards and IDs along with your smartphone. The Wallet slides down providing space for up to three slim cards or two thicker ones — and closes securely.

It attaches directly to an iPhone or a case. As you might expect, it does add a bit of extra bulk, so if you’re the type of person who wants to have an extremely svelte Apple smartphone set-up, this might not be for you.

Also, there are two caveats. One: CLCKR glue won’t adhere to the iPhone 11 Pro/ iPhone 11 Pro Max/ iPhone 12 Pro/ iPhone 12 Pro Max or devices with a similar texture. If you want to use the CLCKR Wallet, plan on using it with a hard-shell phone case.

Two: due to the thickness of the product, you’ll have to remove it for wireless charging.

And there’s a bonus caveat: it won’t fit on the iPhone 12 mini or similarly sized devices.

That said, CLCKR’s patented built-in Stand and Grip allows you to use your phone in both portrait or landscape modes. According to the folks at CLCKR, it also features a coating of antimicrobial protection that “kills up to 99.99% of germs.”

The $14.99 3M Car Mount is an accessory for the CLCKR Wallet and doesn’t work with any other products. It’s a 3M adhesive that sticks onto to a flat surface in your car. It’s small and unobtrusive; when you’re not using it, you can remove it and store on the adhesive attachment.
