Apple acquires first batch of carbon-free aluminum

According to AppleInsider (www.appleinsider.com), Apple has bought their first batch of carbon-free aluminum, which could greatly lessen the environmental damage caused by manufacturing Apple products.

Elysis is a joint venture o falcon Corp and Rio Tinto and was announced in 2018. Elysis received $144 million in funding from the two companies, Apple, and Canadian and Quebecois governments. If fully developed and implemented, this new method reportedly has the potential to eliminate direct greenhouse gas emissions from the smelting process around the world, strengthening the closely integrated Canada-United States aluminum and manufacturing industries.
