Feral Interactive has announced that A Total War Saga: TROY, the historical strategy game inspired by the Trojan war, will be released for macOS and Linux next year, shortly after the Windows release.

Developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA for Windows PC, TROY is the third entry in the Total War Saga series of standalone games inspired by great turning points of history, along with THRONES OF BRITANNIA and FALL OF THE SAMURAI, also brought to macOS and Linux by Feral Interactive.

Inspired by the ancient Greek epic, the Iliad, TROY explores the era-defining Trojan war from both the Greek and Trojan perspectives. When audacious Paris, prince of Troy, takes beautiful Helen from her palace in Sparta, Helen’s husband King Menelaus vows to bring her home, whatever the cost. Menelaus’ brother King Agamemnon comes to his aid, summoning swift-footed Achilles, Odysseus of the silver-tongue, and other Greek heroes, to wage war on Troy.

Combining turn-based empire management and r real-time battles, TROY challenges players to take on the mantle of one of eight iconic heroes, facing enemies in a character-led narrative drama.

Players will build their empire through strategy, statecraft, diplomacy and all-out war, as they seek to conquer all in a striking recreation of the Bronze Age Mediterranean. For more information on TROY, visit the official Creative Assembly blog.
