Tension Software has updated Mac Shutdown to version 4.1. It’s an app that allows you to use “soft shutdown” and “hard shutdown” on your Mac.
The former is issued at Finder level and ask to all the running app to quit before shutting down your Mac. The latter is issued at system level and offers a low level of probability of having the shut down interrupted by an app refusing to quit. Version 4.1 offers improved management of the Status Menu only functionality and more commands in the status menu.
Mac Shutdown requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It costs $12 and is available at the Tension Software website (www.tensionsoftware.com).
