Apple plans series of ‘Apple TV Tech Talks’ for developers

Apple is planning a series of “Apple TV Tech Talks” for developers that will be held in various cities starting in December and running through Feb. 3.

According to Apple, the Tech Talks will offer “technical information on building and designing for tvOS” and allow attendees to “learn refined coding techniques, and obtain valuable development instruction from Apple experts.” You’re encouraged to register (https://developer.apple.com/tech-talks/#9to5Mac) by Nov, 13, 10 (Pacific) for an opportunity to attend.


Tech Talks will be held in Toronto, Los Angeles, Austin, Seattle, Cupertino, Berlin, London, New York, Tokyo, and Sydney. Morning sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon and focus on designing apps for tvOS, implementing focus-driven user interfaces, integrating the Siri Remote and game controllers, leveraging TVML for media apps, and enabling On-Demand Resources. Afternoon sessions, from 1-5 pm, will allow attendees to dive deeper into technologies for graphics and gaming, media streaming and playback, personalized Top Shelf content, and best practices for design. You’ll learn how to optimize your tvOS app and get practical guidance about deployment. The afternoon sessions will be followed by a reception to allow Tech Talk attendees to meet fellow developers and Apple experts.
