ThinPrint brings Wi-Fi printing to iPhones, iPads

ThinPrint has released a new version of its free app ThinPrint Cloud Printer. With the update iPhone, iPad and Android users print documents and photos to any printer in their current Wi-Fi network. A PC or Mac isn’t needed.

If a user wants to print a document, photo or another file from his iPhone, iPad or Android device, the cloud-based app automatically shows which printers are available in the current Wi-Fi network. Once a printer is selected, the printout is sent through their smartphone or tablet to the printer. If a Wi-Fi printer isn’t available, the user can still turn any printer into a cloud printer and print via a PC or Mac connected to the printer.

“With the latest version, we have made significant progress in our goal of providing users with a mobile printing solution that can be used easily and spontaneously in any situation,” says Thién D. Nguyen, product manager ThinPrint Cloud Printer at ThinPrint. “By being fully manufacturer-independent, users with ThinPrint Cloud Printer need only one app to print with any printer. We solved the complex printer driver issue for customers by hosting over 7000 drivers in our cloud and letting everybody access them when needed. With this technology we enable users to print from their mobile devices to virtually any printer.”

ThinPrint Cloud Printer is available free in Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store. The app is completely free of any in-app advertising. Installation and setup information can be found at: http://cloudprinter.thinprint.com/wifi
