Comcast Plans to Drop Takeover of Time Warner

AppleInsider just reported that according to an article by Bloomberg today, Comcast plans to walk away from its proposed $45 billion takeover of Time Warner Cable. Reportedly, the FCC is “leaning toward concluding the merger doesn’t help consumer consumers.”

Bloomberg’s article continued “If the deal had gone through, the Comcast-Time Warner partnership would have created by far the largest cable operator in the U.S.” If the deal had gone through, Time Warner customers would have eventually become Comcast customers. According to a BGR article in December, “TWC and Comcast are the two most hated companies in America”
