Solbits Software’s Allocator 1.0 (http://allocatorapp.com/) is a financial investment application designed for Mac OS X Yosemite.

It provides investors with a dashboard to organize and track important assets by portfolio performance, allocation, and total value based on current market value. You can also view current stock details, add transactions and compare target versus actual allocation.

Allocator supports foreign investments and will convert values to current portfolio currency. The application supports 165 different currencies.

Allocator displays the overall portfolio performance, the current allocation of investments, and the total value based on current market value by showing simplified and color coordinated graphs. Each break-down auto calculates based on current stock details and transactions.

You simply use the search feature to find and add stocks or exchange-traded funds from a global index. Once investments are added, you can customize data based on your personal portfolio measurements and the application will display data in an easy-to-digest format.

Another useful tool within Allocator is the target allocation feature, which allows users to allocate investments by sectors, such as US Equity, Real Estate, and Canadian Bonds, among many others. Investments can be divvied by percentage and shown on an easy-to-read graph.

Each Sector is listed below a visual graph for a more detailed comparison with current allocation, target allocation, and adjustments. Allocator features a target allocation tool, which suggests transactions to allow investors to take action and reach allocation goals.

Allocator is handy for the rookie investor looking to develop a balanced portfolio. It provides transaction prompts to take action towards successfully reaching financial goals, and helps to keep track and simplify an otherwise complex world of trading.

Seasoned financial advisors will find this friendly tool an asset, as it allows for multiple portfolio management under one roof. Financial advisors and teachers can use Allocator to visually educate clients or students on sound investment strategies and possible outcomes.

Allocator provides a list of holdings organized by gain, gain percentage, and market value with the ability to organize the data based on the investor’s preference of mentioned categories. Users can attach action items to each investment, such as buy, sell, return of capital, dividend, interest, and stock splits.

The investment values immediately reflect changes. You can scroll over an item to find an overview of current stock details such as exchange, currency, sector, ask, bid, day’s high, and day’s low breakdowns.

Allocator 1.0 costs US$39.99. A 30-day, fully functional demo version is available for download.
