Plustek has launched the eScan A150 (http://escan.plustek.com/), a standalone network scanner priced at US$599. It has a built-in seven inch LCD touchscreen with a smartphone-like Apollo interface.

Once the oversize Apollo button is touched, the scanned thumbnail image shows up for a quick review.  Fast Edit is also available when needed, in order to make some quick tweaks such as crop, rotate and contrast.

When it comes to sending, Apollo’s touchscreen offers a variety of destinations including: cloud providers, email, FTP, mobile device, computer, network folder, USB drive — and even to multiple destinations simultaneously. The Plustek eScan A150 is available from authorized Plustek resellers and value added distributors, NewWave Technologies and Ingram Micro.
