Iospirit has updated Remote Buddy (http://www.iospirit.com/products/remotebuddy/), Mac OS X software for controlling Macs remotely, to version 1.25. The upgrade introduces support for the Harmony Smart Control, which can now be connected via Bluetooth.

More than 100 popular Mac apps supported by Remote Buddy (including Plex, EyeTV, iTunes, Rdio, Spotify, DVD Player, Mac Blu-Ray Player, iPhoto, Lightroom, XBMC, Movist and VLC) can then be controlled with the same Harmony Smart Remote that already controls other devices like TV sets, beamers, game consoles, the Apple TV and even Philips Hue lights. A new how-to (available as a post on the Iospirit Blog) shows the entire setup process and also includes an overview over all needed parts and system requirements.

Remote Buddy 1.25 requires Mac OS X 10.7 or later and costs approximately US$27. A 30-day trial version can be downloaded at the Iospirit website.
