TheKeptPromise has released Subtitle Studio 1.0.1 (http://tinyurl.com/q5jrxlw), an update to its US$9.99 subtitle adding app for Mac OS X. The upgrade offers faster editing, the ability to edit subtitles without having a movie open, and the ability to load pure text files and spread them over a movie’s duration.

To use the app, you drop your movie onto Subtitle Studio. The software will auto-search for missing subtitles. You can sync subtitle with a single button, hit save, and you’re done.

Subtitle Studio supports M4V, MOV, AVI, MKV and other files. You can embed your subtitles into a M4V file for the Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and other devices. A demo is available for download at the product web site
