Microsoft Office comes to the iPad

Microsoft has announced Microsoft Office for the iPad. They’re free downloads at the Apple App Store — IF you have an Office 365 account.

Such subscribers — and more on Office 365, in a moment — can add an iPad as one of their selected devices included in the subscription benefits. Once done, they can use Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for the Apple tablet.

Microsoft says that Office for iPad brings full file fidelity across Office on PC, Mac, tablet and phone. The apps “have a familiar look and feel that are unmistakably Office but are built from the ground up for iPad, according to Microsoft. You can find more info at http://tinyurl.com/l5y9b49 .

Office 365 (http://tinyurl.com/kcktwbx) costs: US$5 per user/month for small businesses (up to 25 users) and $15 per user/month for midsize businesses (up to 300 users).
