QNAP Systems has released the TS-x70 Pro series Turbo NAS, available in 4, 6 and 8-bay tower models, for home and small/home office use.

Powered by a Dual-Core Intel Core i3 3.3 GHz Processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM, the TS-x70 Pro series is designed to deliver real-time multimedia transcoding capabilities and for connecting home digital assets as a multimedia hub. It can deliver up to 447MB read and 446MB write speed with optional 4 Gigabit LAN port configuration, says Jason Hsu, product manager of QNAP. “

By connecting a TS-x70 Pro series model to a HDTV via HDMI, users can enjoy multimedia contents with 5.1 channel surround sound supported by the XBMC media player provided in the QNAP HD Station. The TS-x70 Pro series delivers not only high-speed transcoding capabilities but also high-quality audio to provide a complete home theater experience, Hsu says.

The TS-x70 Pro series is also a backup center to store files and media contents. Mac users can use the Apple Time Machine respectively to back up their data.
