Apple has reportedly purchased Cue, the company behind an iOS personal assistant app. Why? To compete with Google Now, according to “The Inquirer” (http://tinyurl.com/lpjzhyj)

The app collated information from emails, contacts and calendars, and prepared “an overview of your upcoming events by linking together related phone numbers, addresses, tickets, invitations, receipts, files, and more.” Google Now is a personal assistant available within the Google Search mobile app for iOS and Android devices. It uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make reservations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services.
