Rogue Amoeba announces Intermission for Mac OS X

Intermission JPEG.jpg

You can now pause and rewind live audio on your Mac with Rogue Amoeba’s newest Mac application, Intermission. It provides a pause button for all audio playback on your Mac.

Even streaming content can be paused. With its audio buffer, Intermission makes it possible to jump back and replay missed audio. You can rewind live sports, talk radio, teleconferences and more.

The audio buffer can hold up to three hours of content. You can pause streaming audio on services like Pandora, iTunes Radio, or Spotify to build a buffer, then skip right past the ads and songs you don’t want to hear.
You can even save the audio you just heard. By pairing up Intermission with Audio Hijack Pro, it’s actually possible to record audio from the past. For more info go to http://rogueamoeba.com/intermission/ .

Intermission requires Mac OS X 10.7 or higher, and can be purchased for just US$15 directly from Rogue Amoeba’s online store. A fully-functional free trial is available on the Rogue Amoeba site. While in trial mode, buffered audio from Intermission is overlaid with noise after ten minutes of playback.
