RedleX (http://www.mellel.com) has released Mellel 3.2, an upgrade to its word processor for Mac OS X (10.5 and higher). The new version introduces hyperlink support, is now offered in a “lite” version, and introduces a host of smaller improvements and a long list of bug fixes.

The new hyperlinking feature allows linking to any file on the disk, making it easy to link to documents, references, and even launch relevant applications from within Mellel, according to the folks at RedleX. Hyperlinks are exported to Word format, RTF, and PDF as live links.

Mellel 3.2 also enhances its language support, allowing one to set a language in a style (mainly for spelling) and allows for switching of spelling dictionaries with or without language synchronization. The new features especially help those who write in different languages that basically use the same character set (e.g., french and English or German and English), according to the folks at RedleX. Mellel 3.2 also introduces full Retina support.

Mellel 3.2 costs US$38.99 and available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category (http://tinyurl.com/kdrxy4v). It is also available from the RedleX website.
