Samsung has urged a U.S. appeals court to stand by its denial of Apple’s request to ban sales of the Galaxy Nexus smartphone while Apple challenges its patent, reports “Reuters” (http://tinyurl.com/c6yl632).

In October, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit blocked Apple’s bid for a pretrial sales ban. Apple has asked all nine active Federal Circuit judges to reconsider that decision, a process known as “en banc” review.

This is all part of the ongoing, global legal battle. Apple and Samsung have filed more than 30 lawsuits against each other across four continents. For example, Apple alleges that Samsung copied the slide-to-unlock technology of its iPhone and iPad devices.
