Apple CEO Tim Cook places second on Fortune’s “2012 Businessperson of the Year” list. Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, placed first on the list.

Here’s what Fortune has to say about Cook: “Despite a shuffling of executive management, Tim Cook’s first full-year as CEO was chock-full of milestones: Apple’s stock soared to an all-time high of $705.07 per share, and its latest iPhone sold more than 5 million units during its first weekend on sale — a company record.”
