Microsoft has posted Office for Mac software updates for both the 2011 and 2008 versions of the software The updates are highly recommended, as they fix “extremely important” functionality issues and improve overall security. The 2011 and 2008 updates are available as free downloads from Microsoft Support (support.microsoft.com).

Blackmagic Design (www.blackmagicdesign.com) has announced HyperDeck 3.6, an update to its solid state disk (SSD) recorder. The upgrade adds support for Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) into HyperDeck Shuttle 2, plus new closed caption support for all HyperDeck models.
