We’re way overdue for some “iTV” news, so here goes: in a note to clients — as reported by “Barron’s” (http://macte.ch/r8zLg) — Jefferies & Co. analyst James Kisner says it appears that an Apple-branded HDTV is “imminent.”
“Our discussions with industry contacts suggest that at least one major N. American MSO is working to estimate how much additional capacity may be needed for a new Apple device on their broadband data network,” he says in the note to clients [our] estimates assume an actual Television product (not a ‘puck’ like the current Apple TV)”
