Mac OS X software updates for Sept. 12

Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Mapdiva (www.mapdiva.com) has released Artboard 1.6, an update to their vector drawing software for Mac OS X. The new version is optimized for OS 10.8 Mountain Lion, adds Retina-display support, new features, and usability enhancements.

The Alice Dev Team (www.alicedev.com) has announced Security Camera 2.3 an update to their utility that allows users to secretly snap a time-stamped, security ID photo of any person taking the user’s Mac out of sleep mode. The new version is Mountain Lion ready.

Netgear (www.netgear.com) has updated the software for its ReadyNAS line of network attached storage. Version OS 5.3.6 adds remote backup capability for Apple’s Time Machine, ReadyDROP cloud-based storage implementation, mobile clients for ReadyDLNA media streaming, and more.

MacPractice (www.macpractice.com) — an Apple developer of practice management and clinical software for doctors’ offices who use Macs, iPhones, and iPad — has given us MacPractice MD, DDS, DC, and 20/20 version 4.2. The upgrade provides compatibility with Mountain Lion and Retina display support.

Ergonis Software has rolled out PopChar X 6.0.1 (http://www.ergonis.com), an update of the tool for finding and typing special characters. It’s a maintenance release that fixes small issues in the recently released PopChar X 6.0.
