Shiverware has announced SpeakBeat 1.0 for iOS. The metronome app uses spoken words to mark the beat rather than clicks or ticks. SpeakBeat is customizable, with a variety of studio recorded voices to choose from, as well as a large high-contrast numerical display.

Shange-Qu Network has released SweetCam 1.0 for iOS. This free photography app lets users enhance the eyes, face or complexion of any portrait photo, or add pre-set filters.

Twindocs International Services has introduced its free mobile app, Twindocs. It allows people to store and access important files from anywhere — online, on computers, and on mobile devices.

Nektony has unveiled Informer 1.0, its new system monitoring utility for iOS devices. The $0.99 provides information on monitoring and analysis of iPhone/iPad performance. It displays the current parameters beginning from the most basic device status parameters disk usage, network connections and carrier information, and more.

Biocom Technologies has debuted FitPal 1.0, its exercise app for iOS. The $1.99 app uses the built-in camera with flashlight to monitor the users pulse in resting position and during standup to calculate their functional capacity and optimal level of exercise intensity for a workout.

NuOxygen Game Publishing has driven out Racing Legends 1.0 a 3D racing game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The $2.99 app features the entire history of F1 in a single game, from the legendary 60’s up until today. The game offers eight tracks to race with 4-5 car teams with different performances.

Nektony has premiered Informer for iOS. The $0.99 app supplies user with information regarding processes currently running on their mobile iDevice. Informer monitors and displays the basic IPhone/IPad parameters, including disk and network information, RAM status and system configuration.

Cory Renzella has published “2012 Map: The Presidential Election.” This $0.99 lets you create, save, and share 2012 presidential election scenarios. It includes: “Live” maps that are updated daily with the newest polls; “Historical” maps that detail every election, from 1789 through 2008; and a blank “New” map that you can customize from scratch.

IdeaCave Studios has developed Calm 1.0, a meditation timer developed for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. With the $1.99 app, users can take advantage of the features designed to make it easy to maintain consistency in meditating.

Laura J. White Mobile Development has created iSpell that! 1.0 for iOS. The $1.99 app is designed to provide a fun experience for children learning or practicing to spell three letter words. iSpell that! provides a bank of 50 images and associated audio recordings pertaining to the words. The child taps on the three letters presented with the image in the correct order to spell the word. If the word is misspelled, the word and audio are provided again, allowing three chances to spell the word correctly.

EchoMatrix has given us Cube Dodger for the iOS platform. In the $0.99 game, players must control the little yellow SquareShip and are forced to evade oncoming colorful cubes at an increasingly rapid rate with the help of pure skill and concentration.

The new $1.99 app, NumberOne, from Neotko Studios SL defies the Stroop Effect by having users match pairs of tiles without reference to color. It presents users with a colored tile featuring a number, letter or symbol, which must be matched correctly to one of several other colored tiles.

The new, $1.99 Museum of London Royal Timetrip app contains a specially edited and location-specific film collection, narrated by Helen Baxendale, covering a century of royal London life, featuring four royal weddings, two coronations and a funeral. The app, launched in time for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics, allows users to immerse themselves in iconic royal events from London’s past and explore the enduring relationship between the British monarchy and the people of London.
